Great question! Currently Fuzzywhatknots (FWK) is operated out of my home. My studio is in my garage and my office and yarn storage area is limited to one room inside my home.
I do not have the space available to house multiple ready to ship skeins on every colorway I currently offer.
All colorways, unless otherwise specified, are available to back order.
Back orders are processed in the order they are received and are prioritized over any other dyeing on my schedule.
I would love to be able to have more ready to ship available but unfortunately it is not realistic at this time.
How long do Backorders take to ship?
I ask that you allow up to 3 weeks from the time you place your order for it to ship.
There are a few factors that go into this time frame, namely being if I have the yarn base in stock that you have requested and how many orders are ahead of yours.
There are very few circumstances where I don't have the base requested on hand, but it can happen from time to time if my vendor is out of stock.
In most cases, backorders move through the process very quickly, as they are priority when I receive them.
Please note: Allow up to 3 weeks for your backorder to ship, this time frame does not include shipping time.
Best advice is to order what you need as far in advance as humanly possible to avoid delaying your project. If there is any reason that your order is delayed you will be contacted in a timely manner.
Do you take special color requests?
If you have a specific special order color request or you want a colorway I currently offer but on a different base than I offer please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will get back to you within 24 hrs to discuss your yarn dreams.
A few things to keep in mind:
Special color requests/base requests are subject to a 2 skein minimum.
Due to the time and materials required to create a totally new colorway the final color must be approved by the customer before any yarn is dyed and these orders will not be eligible for a refund. (An exceptions will be made for damaged goods during shipment)
All invoices for special requests will be processed through Paypal or Square, you do not have to have a Paypal/Square account to pay these invoices, you can checkout with a credit card.
All invoices must be paid in full before order can be processed.
